Sustainable & Local

Gindara sablefish is 100% Ocean Wise certified and fed a nutritious diet of sustainable forage fish, cuts of protein that would otherwise be wasted due to human preferences and a combination of plant protein, seeds and vitamins. The feed is sourced no more than 2,000km in an effort to reduce greenhouse gases.

Conservation at its core

Gindara Sablefish is raised in their native oceanic environment, with the goal of conserving our natural resources. This is done by feeding the fish low quantities of wild fish so as to take from the ocean as little as possible. No antibiotics or pesticides are added so as to keep our waters pristine. Gindara sablefish is raised by hand to keep ecological footprint small by avoiding industrial farming.

Nutritious and delicious

Sablefish is known to contain one of the highest amounts of omega-3 fatty acids that has been proven to lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart diseases and slow down the development of plaque in arteries. It is also widely used by chefs and has a delicious buttery taste!
