Rosebank Farms
After meeting in a central hall of a mushroom farm, Steve & Andrea moved from the Fraser Valley to the Okanagan and started raising children and pastured poultry at their current location in 1994. Over the years, they have experimented with a variety of crops and livestock enterprises on their 9 acres while providing their three children with a healthy, practical upbringing with space to roam, trees to climb and forts to build.

Sustainability at the core
Steve and Andrea work extremely hard to ensure that their ecological footprint is as small and light as possible. From using a rotational grazing system to composting all of their waste to ensure that their soil nutrients are balanced and are protecting ground water, these sustainable practices has led to huge improvement in their soils and transformed their land into lush pastures all while doing their part in reducing negative environmental impact.
Happy, healthy and humane
By nature, turkeys are very curious and like to wander. Steve and Andrea try to have their pens encompassing interesting bushes and trees so that the turkeys can explore something new every day. When the turkeys are ready to be processed, they are gently gathered at night and carefully transported to a licensed processing facility. At the processing facility, humane handling techniques are used in order to minimize stress. All of the poultry that is raised at Rosebank Farms is gently and respectfully handled.
